1 John 4:10 (KJB) Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Many people have their own idea about love. If you ask them to explain or define true love they will likely offer an explanation which mirrors the kind of love easily found on television or in the movies. It is a love that is demonstrated physically and relies upon the actions and words of man.
The love of God is different.
It is not physical in nature but spiritual. It is intense and supernatural. It does not depend on the actions and words of man. God’s love is perpetual. God’s love lasts forever. It is infinite while “pseudo love” of man has limitations and boundaries.
God loved all mankind enough to send His Only Son to be the eternal sacrifice for sin. God sent His Son to die for your sin and mine.
