A Calm Before the Storm
Revelation 8:1 (KJB) And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
Silence in heaven for about a half hour? There is much speculation concerning this heavenly time of quiet. While nobody knows for sure what this time is all about, it seems probable that God could choose to pause for a time before proceeding with judgement.
Perhaps the saints, that’s you and me, who were recently raptured into the heavenly realm were watching their lives play out silently before them. Imagine, if you can, that EVERY word, EVERY moment, of your life playing out before you on a screen.
I think any person will be without words at the replay of his or her life.
Or envision that God and His saints, again that is you and I, are peering down from the heavenly realm to see what was about to take place upon the earth. Maybe it is a time of calm before swinging God’s hammer of wrath down upon the wicked inhabitants who were left upon this earth.
Whatever it is that comes after the seventh seal is opened is a dramatic spiritual event since God pauses for a stretch. Certainly, many can agree it likely is a period of spiritual calm before a gathering squall brewing on the horizon.
