A Clear Conscious Joyfully Serves God
2 Corinthians 1:12 (KJB) For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
There is much joy and rejoicing among those who are able to entertain a clear conscious before God. Nothing makes the heart of man sing louder than one who has confessed and forsaken sin. This man enjoys unfettered fellowship with God. He has no hurdles to make it over or debris from sin littering his spiritual pathway.
For individuals who have chosen to hang onto their sin and allow it to take up valuable space inside their mind and heart have, therefore, placed spiritual barriers in their spiritual walk with God. They must push themselves to “jump through hoops” and overcome hurdles of besetting sin (Hebrews 12:1) to salve their conscience as they attempt to serve and savor God.
The unmerited grace of God allows a man to renounce his sin and turn from it to serving God sincerely with his whole heart and abound with much joy. The regenerated man often desires to hold onto “favorite sins” thereby placing stops signs when God desires to wave the “green flag!”
