A Heretic Condemns Himself
Titus 3:10-11 (KJB) A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
A heretic is a man who purports false doctrine or calls undue attention to his own opinions even when they do not line up squarely with The Word of God.
This verse admonishes such a man is to be biblically corrected once. After this, he is to be rejected. It is spiritually dangerous to be in continual close communion with another person who continues to expound false teaching or chooses to argue about the validity of his own perversion of God’s sound spiritual doctrine. Scripture can be rightly (as well as wrongly) divided (2 Timothy 2:15).
A man’s urge to repeatedly push the envelope by insisting acceptance of his personal interpretation of scripture, regardless if it has any biblical basis, or that it causes division, strife, and disharmony among brethren, is a man who is out to promote his personal agenda, regardless of its truth or the consequences of doing so.
