A Little Faith is a Lot When God is Involved
Hebrews 11:30 (KJB) By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.
This power packed scripture verse is found smack dab right in the middle of a litany of verses about individuals who chose to place faith in God. Some call this chapter of Hebrews the “Faith Hall of Fame.” It mentions several Old Testament people, including Rahab, Moses, Gideon, and others you are certainly familiar with who chose to place unyielding trust in God despite untoward circumstances at work about them.
Not only did these aforementioned people choose to place trust in God, but God wrought miracles in their lives, preserving and sanctifying their soul. The question was never about how much hope these people determined to place in God, but that God was able to work wonders and miracles in their lives through their placement of simple faith.
The Bible tells us that faith, as small as a mustard seed (Matthew 17:20), can deliver great works when God is the receptor of this faith. A little is certainly a lot when God is involved. Having no faith in the supernatural nature and work of God is certainly spiritually detrimental to a soul.
