A Living and breathing Sign

Are you living with your spiritual eyes and ears wide open?

And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:13-14 KJV)

The virgin birth of the Lord was prophesied or announced many places in the Bible including by the prophet Isaiah

His divinely conceived birth was to be a living and breathing sign from God manifested in the flesh.  It was not an ordinary or customary birth any young woman of ancient biblical times could bring into this world.  Mary was chosen by God to give birth to Jesus.

Jesus Christ was not an average baby, rather Jesus’s birth was supernatural in origin and filed with power and might by God.  Jesus was born on this earth in the flesh and is the Son of God.  God would send His Son to be a living sign unto His people.  God did not choose to bring forth Jesus’s birth in any usual manner but brought about Jesus in a humble yet supernatural fashion to open the spiritual eyes of His people.

This lowly beginning of His life on this earth was for the removal of the eternal consequences of sin.  It was for catching their attention of the spiritual wayward who were caught in the throes of sin, moving them out of their unrepentant spiritual disbelief and ushering them into a personal relationship with God the Father.

Many missed this wonderful sign over two thousand years ago, failing to come to God. Today many live on this earth with their spiritual eyes and ears shuttered tight, choosing to live in opposition to God’s will and having no fellowship with Him on this earth.  They are headed straight for an agonizing eternity spent burning in the fires of hell and far removed from fellowship with God.

God does not send any new signs and wonders in this New Testament age of grace. His revelation is finished and complete.  Use your life to honor and glory God and reveal His presence to others in need of a personal spiritual relationship with Him!
