A Mommas Advice: Always Wear Clean Underwear

Proverbs 31:26 (KJB)   She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

Psalm 31 is a spiritual ode meant for honoring, maturing and encouraging godly women.  It is written by King Lemuel, as inspired by God and recorded about his own mother.

A woman of God means many things to her family, she can accomplish many things by serving God first, including nurturing and fostering her family as she serves up sound biblical traditions and eternal advice.  As her heart is led by God she serves both Him, her spouse, and her family earning both earthly and eternal rewards.

Sometimes her work is as simple as offering good advice, such as “wear clean underwear,” but most of all she genuinely loves God and her family and His light is shining brightly in her life.

I am sure you can remember “sound bites” spoken by your own momma reminding you about the importance of changing your underwear or other pertinent things such as “close the door do you live in a barn…?” Or to wear a coat it is cold out there…

A mom’s witty sayings at times are meant to scold, encourage growth and bring about maturity, and especially for introducing the timeless truths of God, teaching her children the eternal value of God’s Word.

Yes, a mom is vital in helping a child to purposely bloom and grow in this world.  A godly mom helps her children know and grow in spiritual and eternal things of God while temporarily living in this world.  Being a mom is a full-time endeavor.

However, sadly, many moms are a part of the workforce today rather than their first priority being in the home and raising godly kids.

Perhaps you heard these and otherwise and useful expressions throughout your childhood.  A godly mom has placed the interests of God, her husband, and their family prayerfully ever before her as she sojourns in this world.  Though many mothers now work outside the home it is vital for parents to raise kids who know and fear God.
