A Naturally Warped Perspective
Titus 1:15 (KJB) Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
This scripture verse presents a simple spiritual equation for us to ponder upon.
A person with a pure heart tends to think with purity, while a person with a lost heart condition thinks with a natural lean towards evil.
Not only is a lost person led by his own thinking and reasoning, often referred to as “stinking thinking” but his conscious will eventually be seared by the influence of evil at work in his heart and mind. This means that an abundance of wickedness can and eventually will cause a lost person’s heart to be eternally callous towards the holy nature of God.
An onset of spiritual callousness and defilement shutters the ears and eyes of a lost person and prevents him or her from hearing and knowing God’s Truth.
When a heart condition is hardened it cannot possibly be penetrated with the truths of God. This is certain sentence of eternal spiritual death hanging around the neck of every defiled person. Their mind and heart are shut off from perceiving any life-saving Truth of God.
