A Push For Telling Others About Christ
Romans 10:14-15 (KJV) How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
These verses ask many questions concerning how a lost soul can be reached for Christ if they do not have an opportunity to hear about Him. It begs us to consider the real need for a preacher of the gospel of Christ. It pushes lay people to witness others, and it highlights the need for men called by God to study and enter the pulpit. God needs both laypersons and called men to preach from the pulpit to reach needy souls with His message of eternal life and to encourage them to do spiritual business with God about this on His terms and timing. It is incredible the opportunities that professing Christians, including me, have let slip away, failing to witness to lost hearts about Christ in the moments God provides.
This verse goes on to describe the feet of those who preach as having beautiful feet! I hope God considers your preacher to have beautiful feet and that you find yourself following his shepherding and teaching with beautiful feet as well, in testifying about God to others as you live in this world.
God gives every person a breath of life. Every life is precious and worthy of hearing the gospel message. The good news of God is for all people, and those who are professing spiritual children of Christ will naturally desire to spread this unmerited message to every soul.
