A Spiritual “About Face”
John 6:67-69 (KJB) Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
During His short earthly ministry, Jesus Christ was used to rejection.
He was accustomed to teaching people the Truth of God and watching many people fall by the wayside, refusing to apply His Truth to their lives.
God will not force, or “horse collar,” any man into accepting a personal relationship with Him. It always requires a personal response. Therefore, Jesus Christ expects some will do a “spiritual about-face” and quietly walk away proving their profession of faith was not sincere.
Even one of His disciples, Judas, did an “about face” in the eleventh hour proving the ill condition of his heart.
