A Sweet Savor of Christ
2 Corinthians 2:15-16 (KJB) For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: 16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
What kind of “spiritual scent” does your life represent to God? There are only two fragrances available: The odor of death or the scent of life.
Did you know that even though God is present in the heavenly realm He can easily discern which scent you represent with your life? The stench of decomposition and death is a strong odor which cannot be masked by mankind or accepted for having fellowship with God. The pleasant and palatable aroma of life is one that both man and God savor and find satisfying.
Eternal victory has a sweet and moving aroma, while the smell of defeat is sour and stagnant, each variety contrasts and affects the nostrils of God in an opposing fashion.
