A Thankful Heart is A Hallmark of God
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJB) In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
EVERYTHING and GIVE THANKS are keywords to contemplate upon in this scripture verse.
Understanding this verse makes each day a day of thanksgiving to God! Otherwise, a man chooses to exist in a “oh, woe be me” existence most every single day by finding little or nothing to be thankful in his heart for.
A thankful heart is a hallmark of an eternal perspective of a child of God. In fact, a child of God should have trouble finding reasons to be sad and have a downward leaning heart. The presence and power of God works to “whip up” his heart into a fragrant bouquet of fresh spiritual flowers which leave their remarkable fragrance upon every life it touches.
An unthankful heart, on the other hand, leaves a trial of spiritual odor or an unpleasant scent and leads a person astray from the will and way of God for his or her life.
Thankfulness in any situation leaves an unmistakable fragrance of the supernatural power and presence of God at work in the lives of His spiritual family. This wonderful essence sets a child of God apart from many unthankful and wicked hearts at work in this world.
