A Truly Wise Man is Inspired by God
Job 32:8-9 (KJB) But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. 9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
Inside every man is the Spirit of God. In a man who does not personally know God, His Spirit lies dormant, waiting to be awakened unto new spiritual life. In a man who has been quickened alive God’s spiritual essence is alive with Christ.
An awakened alive Spirit of Christ is alert to understanding things of God. There is a difference in comprehending things of God and having a knowledge of things in this world. They are two different kinds of learning. One is alive unto spiritual things of Christ while the other is dead to things of Christ and alive unto the wickedness at work in this world.
This verse in the book of Job is spoken by Job’s friend Elihu encapsulating his own wisdom about elders, God, and mankind. Elihu did not necessarily understand the character of the wisdom of God as is found in His Word which we have today. He was not able to compare it right against the assumed intelligence of mankind at work in this world.
Nor did Elihu grasp the proper understanding of the judgment of God and the arrogance of judgment by mankind. So much has been revealed for us today that was not able to be seen or understood in ancient biblical times.
A wise man’s wisdom comes from God and is going forth according to His purposes in this world.
The Spirit of God is available inside the heart of every man. The knowledge that is from above has been divinely rekindled by the power and presence of God. Any perceived wisdom of man is nothing and will disappear if God is not involved in the basis of its existence.
