A Warning About “Some”

1 Timothy 4:1-2 (KJB) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.

Even when times seem so dark and wicked, I hope you note this verse says, “some shall depart from the faith…” however, God promised there will always be a remnant who chose not to depart from the truth.

What each of us needs to be concerned about is that for us as individuals, we do not allow distance and false doctrine to creep in between God and us.  Departure from God is not sudden; it often happens in small increments, virtually unnoticeable at first.  Then all of a sudden, a person realizes that he or she is miles away from God as he or she is sucked into a spiritual vortex of lies and deceit.

When an individual reaches a spiritual desperation point, it was not God who chose to move apart, causing such a deep ravine.  Please do not allow yourself to affirm ties with a spiritual rogue gang of “some” who walk away as their ears and minds dangerously absorb seducing spirits and false doctrine rather than cherishing truths of God for doing so is a dangerous place to be.

God has given each of us His Word, which is a timeless truth.  It never fades, falters, falls, or disappears from spiritual relevance in this world now or forever.  Listening to lies and hypocrisy only serve to mar the mind, scorch the conscious, deceive the ears, confuse lost hearts, and even confound sincere hearts. Ultimately, choosing to partake in false doctrine will render a lost consciousness dull about God and will work to limit eternal rewards of saved souls.

Sadly, potential souls ripe for regeneration and spiritually wayward souls can be so easily confused and confounded by the plethora of false doctrine and spirits working in this world.  Familiarity to God’s Word, donning protective gear (Epehesians chapter 6), and choosing to operate inside a personal relationship with Him is the answer to battling bogus teaching and practices.
