Alive Through His Spirit
Romans 8:13 (KJB) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
The Spirit and the flesh reside at opposing ends of the eternal spiritual spectrum. No person can feed both his flesh and his spirit and submit to the will of God. At one end of this scale lies fellowship with God and eternal life. However, at the opposing end, it is only sin, suffering, and death.
A child of God is alive in spirit and joined with the Spirit of God. However, a person who is dead in spirit is apart from possessing a personal relationship with God.
Every lost soul is spiritually dead in sin when the heart is not quickened alive in spirit and not in alignment with the eternal nature of God. However, every spiritually regenerated soul is eternally united with the Spirit and the nature of Christ.
I hope you understand that each person is either spiritually alive in Christ, or dead in sin. There is no spiritual fence-sitting possible between these two spiritual states. A person alive in the spirit of Christ will live in fellowship with Christ forever. A person who does not know and recognize Christ in this world will remain dead in his sin and face both physical death and spiritual death in eternity.
I hope you know God and have placed trust His Son, Jesus Christ, through faith for only this spiritual state, leads to sweet fellowship with Him forever. Any person choosing to serve sin in this world apart from God only leads a soul to death and anguish for all eternity.
