An Enticing Witness

Acts 6:10 (KJB)   And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.

Stephen was divinely filled with the Spirit of God.  It was not him speaking for himself, but the supernatural Spirit of God giving him the words to speak.  God gave Stephen the exact words to say as he was staring in the face of his enemies.  This stunned his adversaries who were unable to resist hearing these words inspired by God.

These men heard Stephen speak truths and they were internally stirred up.  However, they chose to allow familiar wayward evil influences to rule and rein in their heart, rather than submit to any truths heard.

Anytime that you quote scripture you are giving a voice to His Word.  It is not your view, or your opinion being spoken, but the very words inspired and recorded by God.  Listeners then must make a choice in how to react to hearing God’s Truth.

Stephen was a spiritual conduit through which God’s Word reached wayward men.  You too can be used as a voice for God as spiritual opportunities are presented for you according to the will and way of God.
