An Open Invitation For All
Isaiah 55:6-7 (KJB) Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
The context of this prophetic verse recorded by the prophet Isaiah concerns the wide open and grace-filled door for the salvation of every lost soul. You see, just like the door to the ark, one day, this whosoever door of salvation will shutter and remain closed. It will not reopen for salvation of any other soul.
Though this invitation remains possible today because of the finished spiritual work of Calvary, this door might be shuttered tight tomorrow.
Each soul deserves Hell; God made it possible for lost souls to receive pardon for sin. Not just a simple pardon, but as this scripture states, abundant forgiveness for sin; past, present, and future sin.
The finished spiritual work of the cross makes way for every lost soul to call upon the saving power of God. However, one day soon, this door of salvation will close, and this opportunity will be lost forever, and further opportunity for salvation will no longer exist.
