Are You Yoked with the Eternal Goodness of God?
Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee. (Deuteronomy 28:47-48 KJV)
Mankind either chooses to serve the Lord. Or he chooses to serve the foolishness of the god of this world.
Choosing to serve satan ushers in calamities and spiritual deserts including hunger, thirst, nakedness and a unrelenting desire for things one cannot have. Serving sin aligns mankind together with evil and wickedness. It is a spiritual trap one cannot get out of on his own.
Serving God brings a spiritual quench to his unending thirst and produces bountiful goodness and joy inside man’s softened heart working its way outward.
