Arrayed in Fine Linen
Revelation 19:8 (KJB) And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
Clean, white, crisp, and fresh.
Just think about the moment you pull bed sheets out of the dryer. Or bring a sun-dried set of sheets in from off the clothesline. They smell and feel remarkably fresh and clean! In fact, there is nothing better than going to sleep in a bed made with clean sheets!
The righteousness of every saint of God is clean, white, spiritually crisp and clean.
Because every saint of God has been made new, or pure in his heart. This holiness comes from a work of God in the heart.
Not only is a child of God clean in his heart, but he is decked out in the finest linen outwardly. It is true, God grants each of His spiritual family be arrayed with the best of the best for God’s holy family.
This verse refers to the imputed righteousness found at work in God’s spiritual family, His church, His bride, His saints. Every sincere child of God is covered in God’s righteousness having been washed from the crimson stain of sin naturally found at work in the heart of a lost man.
