Bearing Another’s Burden
Galatians 6:2 (KJB) Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
God desires that the man and woman of God share and care deeply about the burdens of others. If your brother, sister, or stranger is carrying a heavy load of burdens God expects His own children to assist in helping to maneuver any unexpected encumbered burdens or spiritual weight. Situations seem much lighter and less demanding when God, along with His spiritual family, help bear any burdens at hand.
Genuinely caring for the spiritual and physical welfare of others will find you sharing tears, mourning in sorrow, jumping for spiritual joy, and sharing fervent love one for the other. This kind of heart attitude is a natural occurrence for those who dwell in the family of God. Caring for others and desiring the best for them is not an emotion one can “put on” or pull “out of a hat” when times get tough.
Care and concern for others is a permanent spiritual fragrance from God which takes up residence in the heart of regenerated man. God’s people have a heart set for His best for everyone whether they are a part of the body of Christ or belong to the god of this world. Helping and caring for others bears a Christ-likeness for others to see and desire to have in their own lives.
