Blessings In Obedience
Revelation 22:14 (KJB) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
This verse draws a line between saved and lost souls. This line is the difference between blessings and eternal life from those souls who receive limited collective benefits along with certain curses and, ultimately, physical death from God.
What, you might say, God, desires to benefit and bless every soul. While this is true, the greater truth is that not every soul has the right to receive eternal life and fellowship with God forever. Even though God wants to bless every person, He reserves His grace and goodness for souls named in the tree of life.
You see, God has a volume in the heavenly realm where every saved soul is personally listed. This listing coincides with the spiritual state of his or her heart. Personal blessings go hand in hand with chosen obedience to God. Though every lost soul can benefit from collective blessings, any personal benefit only comes through having an individual relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ.
I hope your name is in the Book of Life for only then will you receive the lasting goodness and blessings of God. Those who die without God remain spiritually rebellious and separate from Him forever.
