Rebellion – Born to be Free

Rebellion – Born to be Free

God has provided some great examples of normal people or groups that exhibit some of the same flaws that each of us have.  Each one of these people has a specific character trait that we want to examine a little closer.  Perhaps you may see some of your own character in these people, I know as I look at many of God’s people I see them commit some of the same sins, or have the ...

Are you trying to mix oil and water?

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14 KJV)

This verse speaks of important doctrine that many have trouble understanding; in biblical times and today.  Paul used common or ordinary yoked animals as an illustration in learning this important truth.  Those who do much farming would certainly understand what problems would surface if they yoked ...

God richly blesses those who honor Him.

And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly. (2 Chronicles 1:1 KJV)

The author of the book of Second Chronicles is most often credited to Ezra and this authorship is supported by Jewish tradition.  This scripture verse above was set in the beginning times of Solomon’s reign as King.  His father, David, brought Solomon up in his childhood ...

Spiritual Adoption

A paramount spiritual transaction, THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE of God and His only begotten Son, took place when Jesus Christ died upon the cross shedding His precious blood as payment in full for all sin: the past, present, and future over two thousand years ago.  His death on Calvary was the transaction and His resurrection from the grave three days later completed this spiritual reckoning; bringing about a holy remedy of adoption into the eternal spiritual family of God ...

Do you personally know The One God of heaven and earth?

Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. (Isaiah 44:6 KJV)

Salvation It’s More Than Just Escaping Hell

Salvation it is so simple, yet multifaceted.  It is more intricate than simply escaping a horrible death in Hell for all eternity.  At the point of physical death a saved person’s spirit is immediately escorted by angels and carried unto God’s throne in heaven.  The death of an unsaved person transports them immediately into to Hell for an eternity of horrible suffering and pain.

Salvation is not simply waving a magic wand and instantaneously living in a new life ...

Does Jesus want you to cast on the right side?

Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. (John 21:5-6 KJV)

You and I are always on Jesus’s mind.  He yearns to provide for us and knows exactly what we ...

What spiritual highlights “dot” the landscape of your life?

God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. (2 Samuel 22:33 KJV)

Are you a weary and bone tired Christian?

But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. (2 Thessalonians 3:13 KJV)

There are many weary and bone tired Christians walking about looking like dead men in this world.  Many have been about the business of God according to their own strength; some have even been spiritually aggrieved by the schemes of the devil, or are on the run from God’s will, others have been affronted by other professing Christians who are struggling ...

This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. (Titus 1:13-14 KJV)

Can you find a truthful witness?

“This witness is true…” A truthful witness is hard to find these days as false teaching runs rampant even among many professing Christians.  The truth is often melded and blended together with false doctrine making it hard for the average ...
