Body, Soul, and Spirit
1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJB) And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Sanctification includes a one-time eternal position in Christ and a day to day, or progressive maturing of our spiritual relationship with God. Sanctification is a lifetime process that first and foremost identifies our life hid in Christ as an eternal personal relationship develops in the heart and mind of a child of God for mirroring the image of Christ.
This sanctification process is spiritual beautification that begins when a person recognizes an ugly darkened heart and allows the grace and spiritual perfecting process of God to whiten and brighten and polish the inner beauty of a child of God. This spiritual enhancement divinely affects all aspects of a regenerated man, including his body, soul, and spirit.
After a time, the inner loveliness of a person’s body, soul, and spirit rises to the surface and flows outward into this world from the softened heart of a spiritually quickened alive person influencing and illuminating the darkness at work in this world because of the consecrating work of the supernatural power and presence of God.
