Born That Way

John 3:3 (KJB) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

It does not matter so much the state in which you are physically born.

In fact, each person is “born that way…” having a natural tendency towards evil and tagged with an ultimate sentence of sin and death.

The truth is it matters how you die.  Whether you die physically inside a personal relationship with God or you die in spiritual opposition to God.  One leads to an eternal resting state with God while the other choice sends a person to a state of eternal unrest and constant spiritual conflict.

Every person is born with the same spiritual heart condition.  Understanding this truth in your heart might hurt and offend you for a moment.  The truth is that every person is born with the same capacity to be a Sodomite, practice adultery, be a thief, a murderer, and so on, however, not every person makes the same life choice, with some choosing eternal fellowship with God and others electing to align themselves with the wicked nature of the god of this world.

There is no doubt that every individual is also born with the ability to seize a seed sown of truth and make good on an opportunity to personally know God and place faith in the finished spiritual work of Calvary.  A heart can be quickened alive by the indwelling presence and power of God, thereby changing his or her eternal state of heart.

How? Because some people choose to be born again and to operate in this world with a new spiritual vision and can see the kingdom of God.  Others choose to remain spiritually blind and even though the presence and power of God have been made obvious on the landscape of this world, some individuals choose to remain spiritually ignorant and never see God in their limited earthly vision.

I hope you have chosen to be born again and to die in right standing with God.  To personally know Jesus Christ and to agree with Him about the nature of sin and death.  Only then can an individual really see and comprehend the nature and spiritual nurture of God.
