Miriam the Prophetess, sister of Aaron, and a sinner

A Woman Covered in God’s rich grace and mercy from the Women of Grace Series

Miriam was an Israelite, not just any Israelite, but the sister or Aaron the priest.  She, along with thousands of other Jewish people had just witnessed a great triumph as Pharaoh and his army had fallen into the sea and the waters crowded in around them; breaking apart their chariots and sending the entire army to a watery grave at the bottom of the sea.

Miriam and ...

From Sarai to Sara

Sarai was born in Babylon; home of the proliferation of all false religion.  It is not clear what beliefs and practices both Sarai and Abram had been taught growing up.  Abram, Sarai, and extended family members of Abram left Babylon heading to Canaan to dwell after the marriage of Abram and Sarai.  This journey forth was in a time of severe famine and great difficulty as they made their way to the land of Canaan.

Because of the severe famine Abraham changed ...

Judicious Deborah

Deborah was the wife of Lapidoth and little else about her personal life is mentioned in the biblical account of her life; including no details of her marriage other than the name of her husband and no mention if there were any children.  The biblical account speaks most of all about her duty as a judge and prophet in ancient biblical times of the Old Testament.

The leadership and foresight of Deborah helped to purchase Israel forty years of peace ...

Eve: The First Wife and Mother

Eve was the first female, first wife, and first mother of Cain, Abel, and Seth. She is our first example of a woman created by the hand of God.  God created her by piercing the side of Adam the first man created upon this earth.  Woman was taken from man and given a specific role on this earth.  Women are to be a helpmeet for their husband to assist him in meeting the will of God upon this ...

Biblically Based Role of Men and Women

To understand the roles in life God gave to both man and woman we must start at the beginning to build upon the foundation God set in place.

Man was created by God first and in His image.  Woman was created out of a rib from the side of man as a help meet for him by God.  God understood that man needed companionship and fellowship which would never be possible from any creature who roamed the earth; thus ...

Our Standing In Christ

God sees man who is quickened alive spiritually as covered in the blood Jesus Christ shed upon the cross for all sin.  He sees man who has been quickened alive as perfect and pure from His holy viewpoint in the Heavens:

Praise to God who does not see the stain of our sin but only the blood of Christ covering us or atoning for our sin making us as white as snow.  David spoke of this in Psalm fifty one ...

Hitting Spiritual Rock Bottom

God cannot work in our lives until we see our own lowly spiritual estate or position in life.  It requires hitting spiritual rock bottom and seeing a need for His presence and power at work in our life.  Mankind often chooses to operate according to self-will rather than God’s will becoming stoically entrenched in our own inflated  high opinion with some even go as far as feeling God is lucky to have them living upon this earth!

This ...

Are You Stirring and Striving?

Men love to employ circular arguments serving to mix and mingle biblical information and opinions around and around aimlessly but never moving forward in Truth of God’s Word. These discussions are often heated, contentious, and pointed; provoking others but never leading to a greater spiritual understanding of His Word.   These debates are not spiritually profitable for God or man and the Bible tells us to avoid these pitfalls as we sojourn upon this earth.

However, God does ...

A Spiritual Tool Box

Jesus came to die so that we can live; now and for all eternity.  It took every drop of His precious blood shed on the cross at Calvary to pay the price for all sin; including yours and mine.  For those who place their faith in Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross His Spirit comes to dwell inside their heart as they live upon this earth cloaked in His supernatural power.

Living  with God is not simply taking a leisurely ...
