Flattery is Smooth and Risky
Psalm 55:21 (KJB) The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
Smooth words flowing from a mouth can be an attempt to camouflage a waring heart. Be cautious of any person who perhaps tries to “smooth things over” using flattery for it can be an attempt to conceal conflict and depression at work in their heart.
Humor is ... Continue Reading →

Romans 6:23 (KJB) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
There is only one result or ending associated with sin.
Sin only brings death.
Spiritual death is an eternal presence without God forever.
The result of personally knowing God is eternal life in fellowship with God.
Eternal life is a gift of God, not because of any ...

Hosea 4:1 (KJB) Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
The people of Israel, God’s chosen, were spiritual paupers. Their hearts were empty of God and filled with things of the world. Rather than having truth, wisdom, and mercy, they were bursting with self-importance, deception, and things of the god of this world.
The nation of Israel was ... Continue Reading →

Matthew 18:18-20 (KJB) Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the ... Trust God Not Government
Psalm 20:7 (KJB) Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
Sadly, there is a lot of misplaced trusts found resting in other people, things of this world, and found in relying upon the laurels and losses of government. Not one thing, whether it be other people, military forces, or any sort of government leadership on earth will last nor bring lasting victory. The truth is that people ... Continue Reading →

1 Corinthians 15:30 (KJB) And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
This is an interesting question the Apostle Paul posed. The context of his asking concerned the daily unrelenting persecution he faced. Why on earth would any person subject themselves to such continual harassment? Especially if this harassment was literally hour upon hour as Paul was inspired to word it.
The answer is simple because Jesus Chris arose from the dead.
Knowing this, that Jesus Christ arose the third day, any child of God can ... Continue Reading →

Children, Woman, But Where Are Men of Society?
Isaiah 3:12 (KJB) As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
This ancient Old Testament description amazingly fits along with growing family relational mishaps in our society today. Why, because the devil merely recycles his brand of evil and deception from generation to generation offering no new evil or divisiveness ... Continue Reading →

2 Corinthians 10:17-18 (KJB) But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
Isn’t it sad today that so many pastors have a following and a fellowship complete with a professional image which results in a following of their own familiar face and name rather than being a ministry pointing to God? Perhaps such men have a popular face, Bibles to sell engraved ... Continue Reading →

Who Is A Liar?
1 John 2:22-23 (KJB) Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
I remember hearing that a liar’s nose would grow bigger and bigger, otherwise known as the “Pinocchio effect,” when growing up. Certainly, you can remember this story about ... Continue Reading →

Salvation Does Not Rely on Me
Ephesians 2:8 (KJB) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
Thank God that salvation does not rely on me or my work. I would undoubtedly let myself down repeatedly. However, the spiritual work of salvation is done and finished forever. God sent His Only Son to accomplish what I could never do for myself or others on the cross at Calvary.
Jesus Christ ... Continue Reading →
