John 1:9 (KJB) That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
This verse presents a theological conundrum for some laypersons and Bible scholars alike. Why, because this verse states the true Light (notice the capitalization of the word light here) lights every man that enters this world. Many will attempt to reason that if God’s light rests on every soul, then every person is saved the very moment he or she is born ... Continue Reading →

Abraham Saw It
John 8:54-56 (KJB) Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: 55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was ... Do It Your Way
Psalm 81:11-12 (KJB) But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. 12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
These verses, in context, are God speaking about His people. The nation of Israel chose to ignore God, failing to heed His commands or to walk in His direction. Not once, but over and over again, the Jews wished to walk their way in this ... Continue Reading →

Laying Down The Wool
Judges 6:37 (KJB) Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.
Gideon was prudent in laying down a fleece of wool onto the natural greenery floor for a testament. Gideon was about to lie down on top of this wool, which he placed on ... Continue Reading →

A Warning About “Some”
1 Timothy 4:1-2 (KJB) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.
Even when times seem so dark and wicked, I hope you note this verse says, “some shall depart from the faith…” however, God promised there will always be a remnant who chose not to depart from the truth.
What ... Continue Reading →

Repent, Remission of Sin, and Be Baptized
Acts 2:38 (KJB) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
There are a lot of doctrinal misconceptions concerning baptism and this verse of scripture, especially when isolated from proper biblical-based context — two things mentioned here in this verse that is vital in receiving God’s gift of life.
The Apostle Peter ... Continue Reading →

The Smoke Of God’s Judgment
Genesis 19:28 (KJB) And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
This verse leaves no question as to what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah. Though this event is a part of ancient biblical history, it is relevant for a proper understanding of our times in this world today. Also important to note, God promises He will destroy ... Continue Reading →

Christ At Work In Your Heart
Ephesians 3:17-19 (KJB) That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
“Where does it say that Christ resides in the heart?” Right here in these scripture verses above ... Continue Reading →

Godly Discipline, Correction, and Instruction
Proverbs 3:11-12 (KJB) My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: 12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
God chastises His children. But, apart from how this correction looks in this world, His chastisement is a good and necessary thing. A child of God expects to be corrected, instructed, and directed by God for his or her greater good and spiritual state of ... Continue Reading →

Wisdom of David
Psalm 119:98-100 (KJB) Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. 99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. 100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.
Some of you may peer into the life of David and see extraordinary wisdom in many of his life events, going from a lowly laboring shepherd to an eventual successful reign as king. You may consider that ... Continue Reading →
