Swallowing Our Pride
Galatians 6:3 (KJB) For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
I have never heard of a person’s belly becoming swollen and ill from swallowing his pride. In fact, the proven benefits of swallowing our pride is quite the opposite. Ridding oneself of pride has both a physical and spiritual profit.
All a man needs to do is look in God’s Word to verses containing the word pride. That simple ... Continue Reading →

More Conviction Less Being Offended
2 Corinthians 7:9-10 (KJB) Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
Sometimes it seems that conviction is a dying word and a lost spiritual action in this world. ... Continue Reading →

Avoid Foolish and Unlearned Questions
2 Timothy 2:22-23 (KJB) Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
The Word of God gives us valuable insight and direction as we walk in this world. It also gives us places and actions to avoid. That is what is presented in these above verses, a call ... Continue Reading →

Finding Fault with God
Romans 9:19-21 (KJB) Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? 20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
Some people make a ... Continue Reading →

Burdens and Burnout
1 John 5:3 (KJB) For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
God says that keeping His commandments are not grievous. Doing so is a pleasure for a child of God and never a burden. Agreeing with God is a joy and a natural reaction of savoring and serving Him.
My friend, if you are feeling anxious and overwhelmed and at spiritual odds with the will of God, ... Continue Reading →

Is God About to Chop you with The Ax?
Matthew 3:10 (KJB) And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
This verse was given to the Jewish people for reminding them of the certainty of the judgment of God against anyone who did not produce fruit. However, this ax-wielding message still rings true for every person alive on ... Continue Reading →

Daubed It with Untempered Mortar
Ezekiel 13:10-12 (KJB) Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter: 11 Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it. 12 Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall ... The Elephant in the Room
Romans 8:1 (KJB) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
So many people cannot seem to move beyond the condemnation of sin at work in this world. It is like the elephant in the room so to speak. The devil especially likes to linger near newly saved hearts for creating a spiritual rouse for serving repeated reminders about forgiven ... Continue Reading →

Liberty Through the Blood of Jesus
Hebrews 10:19-21 (KJB) Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God.
The shed blood of Jesus Christ opened the door of eternal liberty in making a way for a man to enter the holiest place. ... Continue Reading →

Some Preach Empty Words
1 Timothy 1:5-7 (KJB) Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: 6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; 7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
Paul was speaking about strict-minded Jews who were preaching about the strict keeping of the law of God and skipping over ... Continue Reading →
