Dead to This World
Galatians 6:14 (KJB) But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
Paul is speaking about the pinnacle of Christianity, or the crux of faith, which is the miraculous cross of Jesus Christ on Calvary over 2,000 years ago. A child of God can only glory in the finished spiritual work of Jesus Christ. No authentic ... Continue Reading →

The Lawyers and Pharisees Obstructed Learning
Luke 11:52 (KJB) Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.
The Key of Knowledge mentioned here is none other than Jesus Christ. In this world, spiritual learning is obstructed by wickedness and evil working through a litany of rules, regulation, and red tape. This outward show of “following the rules” is really an attempt to ... Continue Reading →

Isaiah 10:1 (KJB) Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed.
In context, this verse is speaking of the leadership of Judah. This ancient corrupt government inhabited by many sinful people issued decrees and edicts that were burdensome and far removed from God.
Though this verse is describing these ancient times a remnant of the Jewish people faced, it certainly can be applied to the modern times in which we live in ... Continue Reading →

Carnal Minds Cannot Please God
Romans 8:5-8 (KJB) For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that ... Jeremiah Curses the Day
Jeremiah 20:14 (KJB) Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed.
This verse, isolated from other surrounding verses, seems to be a strangely penned verse indeed. The prophet Jeremiah is cursing the day he was born. This prophet seems to be talking out both sides of his mouth for in nearby verses he is praising God.
A man cannot rightly praise God and curse the day ... Continue Reading →

Wisdom in Waterspouts
Psalm 42:7 (KJB) Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
God controls the entire creation including the seas. A waterspout is a storm that rages upon the seas. For lack of better terms, I would venture to describe it to be like a seawater-filled tornado spout that spins and encapsulates great wind with torrential water. Not having seen one personally, I am sure my ... Continue Reading →

Aaron spake all the words
Exodus 4:29-31 (KJB) And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel: 30 And Aaron spake all the words which the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people. 31 And the people believed: and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads ... Love Simplicity, Delight in Laughter, Hate God
Proverbs 1:22 (KJB) How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
This proverb in its entirety amply describes simplicity, speaks of scorners, and introduces for us three types of sinning hearts.
Simple souls are often comfortable, unassuming, and uncomplicated by truths in accepting world-based terms. Even when pressed by truth of God are unwilling to change. They desire nothing other than what ... Continue Reading →

Born That Way
John 3:3 (KJB) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
It does not matter so much the state in which you are physically born.
In fact, each person is “born that way…” having a natural tendency towards evil and tagged with an ultimate sentence of sin and death.
The truth is it matters how you die. Whether you die physically inside ... Continue Reading →

Jesus Touched Him
Matthew 8:3 (KJB) And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Any person who professes to know Jesus Christ has experienced His touch.
He touches the lame.
He touches the Blind.
He touches the hurting.
He touches the leprous.
He touches adulterers.
He touches Sodomites.
Sadly, this generation often refrains from physically, spiritually, and emotionally touching people. Often citing an individual need for their own space and in even having days ... Continue Reading →
