Characteristics Of Serving God
2 Corinthians 6:6-8 (KJV) By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true.
God does not just set His spiritual family out on a limb and expect them to be naturally giving and gracious towards others. No, He always gives them just what they need and when they need it for displaying His character and in honoring and serving Him in the lives of others.
Yes, you and I are to be His hands to hurting hearts in this wicked world. This declaration means serving God in action, not just in speaking mere words!
Every sincere child of God should be able to pass this ‘spiritual characteristic test” in their service, giving and receiving towards God, secondly towards hurting souls in this world. You see, we cannot represent God to hurting souls in this world if we do not place Him first in our life. Then, and only then can a person display His characteristics in their life as they boldly offer them to others in need of His mercy and grace.
Please take note; God never said it would be easy to serve Him in the holiday season, especially in tough times in which we live. Put on your battle gear as you savor and show His love to others for persecution, and problems are sure to plague your way through the minefield in this corrupt world.
In this holiday season, pointing to the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, along with His death, burial, and resurrection, takes spiritual stamina and endurance amid this hostile world filled with corruption and wickedness. However, God has called each of us to sow seeds of His gospel message, especially true in this season, meant for celebrating His supernatural birth into this world.
