John 1:14 (KJB) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The Word dwelt among us. Yes, He was alive and residing among mankind on this earth.
This verse was inspired to be recorded by God to the Apostle John. It is a personal and powerful testimony about the time in which John lived and when God sent Jesus Christ to be born in the flesh in this world.
Certainly, you understand that Jesus Christ has always been alive since the beginning of time and was physically born as an infant to Mary in this world and matured from an infant to an adult, just as you and I. And Jesus Christ was the Son of God, though many did not recognize His spiritual significance during His short physical visit to this earth.
At the beginning of His earthly ministry, Jesus personally chose disciples (of which John was one) and, before His physical death on the cross, lived out the will of His Father God, preaching to men about the grace and truth.
The Apostle John, the other disciples, and many other people came face to face with Jesus Christ during His earthly stay. They met Him face to face and served in His ministry on this earth. Jesus Christ left the spirit world at the throne of God to be born and to be raised on this earth a man, and to chiefly fulfill the will of His Father concerning eternal life, the presence of sin, the certainty of death, in providing an avenue to the grace and truth of God on the cross of Calvary.
Indeed, the Apostle John and the other hand-picked disciples cherished the time they spent with Jesus on this earth, listening with their hearts, giving testimony, and, in glorifying in Him. Each life that acknowledges Him in the Spirit and Truth are forever changed to be in spiritual agreement with God and will reside in eternity with God.
