Christ At Work In Your Heart
Ephesians 3:17-19 (KJB) That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
“Where does it say that Christ resides in the heart?” Right here in these scripture verses above is God’s answer found. A genuine child of God has the Spirit of God in his or her heart. You see, a person is either filled with God or allows the god of this world to dwell in their heart.
A sincere professing child of God elects to have God dwell in his or her heart and allows Him to exterminate any lingering presence of the god of this world. This eradication of spiritual wickedness is a one-time cleaning, or sanctification which is only accomplished by God. The dwelling of God in the heart and the maturing process is a day to day, hour to hour, and even minute by the minute, a continual process of maturing in Christ.
No regenerated heart “knows all there is to know” about God until he or she reaches eternity.
No person will receive the complete fullness of God until they meet with God in sweet eternal fellowship. While sojourning on this earth, each sincere child of God is growing and maturing in things of Christ as God works in the heart of the matter.
