Creation and Creatures Groan
Romans 8:20-22 (KJB) For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
Groaning about sin is natural. It happens in creatures, the creation, and created man because of the natural presence of sin at work in this world. None have chosen to be subject to sin in this pressing manner but were born or created for naturally serving sin.
The groaning because of sin is likened to the intense labor involved in giving birth.
Because of the presence of sin, genuine pleasure for mankind is only possible in this wicked world through a personal relationship with God. Otherwise, a natural man consistently spiritually groans and grumbles repeatedly. Creatures and the creation, on the other hand, are unable to ever possess a personal relationship with God, not having a soul, therefore, their groanings and pain cannot be appeased in any fashion among the evil at work in this world.
However, this verse accounts for relief to be found among all; mankind, creatures and the creation, to come in the future according to God’s will and way.
“Until now…” That is the point of the time to come where the curse of sin will be eternally placated, or lifted, bringing liberty to any person who has been redeemed by the blood of Christ. This eternal freedom from sin for mankind has already been purchased and is possible for any person having a personal relationship with God through Christ.
This spiritual appeasement for every child of God is likened to the relief found by a mother upon giving birth to her precious baby.
Because they have no redeemable soul, creatures along with this present creation will be destroyed and replaced by a new heaven and new earth teaming with new creature life.
Innate groaning about sin among every child of God sojourning in this world has already been taken care of by Jesus Christ. His death provided permanent appeasement of sin and certain arrival in the eternal realm in sweet fellowship with God forevermore.
