Debt Free

Ephesians 1:7-8 (KJB) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; 8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence.

The price of sin is paid in full.

Sadly, so many people worry and fret about any financial debt they owe. It is important for we are to represent Christ in all of our dealings on this earth, including our finances. However, many of these same people fretting about their financial situation give no thought to the enormous debt they owe God.

Sadly, some people become obsessed or bent out of shape more about their monetary dealings and in following financial advice of Ramsey and Orman than in considering the weight of their spiritual debt.  Perhaps some even go to the extreme of failing to comprehend what Christ has taught us about spiritual debt and set themselves up for carrying this heavy load themselves.

Our time is often better spent telling lost souls about Jesus Christ’s payment redeeming sin than to delve into spending habits and financial means of lost souls or professing Christians.  Christ’s finished work on the cross permits us to live debt-free in this world- there is no better message for a heart to comprehend in this world.  Understanding this vital message can free a person up from sin and the chains of financial ruin.

Once a person can sincerely understand the freedom and grace given to us by Christ, every other situation at work in life can be transformed in agreement with the spiritual nature of Christ.  Necessary changes are never realized in our doing or our being, but in taking to heart what Christ has done for us on Calvary.
