Diversities of Gifts

Diversities of Gifts

1 Corinthians 12:4 (KJV) Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

Those tied to this world in mind and heart think of gifts as material matters or tangible items only.  When they think about the giving and receiving of gifts, their understanding is limited by what they know and see in this world.  However, it is essential to understand that gifts of the Spirit of God are spiritual and not necessarily viewable and do encompass diversity.

What does that mean,  having spiritual gifts?  That means that the Spirit of God gives each spiritually regenerated person the potential to have and to use gifts of His Spirit.  This availability lends some to be teachers, preachers, prayer partners, and even a greeter at the door of His temple.  Each of these gifts is vital to God’s heart ministry in this world.  Each champion the spiritual investment that God makes by grace in revitalized souls to further His gospel message to lost souls.

Indeed, you understand that God gives each child of God the capability to live with the gift of the presence of His Spirit working, directing, and guiding their life as they sojourn in this world.  However, each person can refuse to follow the directives and guidance God gives them.  If you are a sincere child of God, you can be confident that God has given you spiritual gifts, and though you have liberty, He expects you to use them for bringing Him honor and glory as you serve Him in this world.

There are many gifts available from God to those who are willing to live a life separated unto Him and useful in reaching hearts with His gospel message.  Allow His Spirit to will and to work in your life to affect others about you in this world for this kind of gift can change a heart forever.
