Do Not Follow The Crowd
Matthew 7:13-14 (KJV) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
These scripture verses give us wise counsel concerning the pathway to heaven in this world. Sadly, some well-known individuals will tell you there are a variety of ways to get to heaven. However, that is not what God tells us in these verses and many others found throughout the canon of scripture.
Indeed, you understand that numerous lost hearted individuals follow the well-trodden pathways, that in the end, do not lead to God. Crowds can be fickle and shallow, flittering off on a wild goose chase or falling down a rabbit hole that leads to nowhere rather than listening and applying God’s divine direction and desires. Following God requires us to choose to obey Him rather than follow what seems right, what feels good, or blindly follow people in this world. God’s perpetual destination has a narrow gate, while the crowds pursue a wide-open pathway that leads straight to Hell.
God desires that each of us choose to heed his guidance and choose to follow Him on the eternal boulevard, rather than stick beside the lost crowd in this world. God’s destination leads to eternal life, while the masses will meet up with death and destruction.
