Do You Meet God’s Condition?
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. (Revelation 3:5 KJV)
God has included many promises in His Word for those who choose to walk with Him. The only prerequisite to “cashing in” on His promises is having personal possession of eternal life.
This verse speaks of “He that overcometh…”
The “he” mentioned is a soul who has been quickened alive by the indwelling presence of God in his heart. It is a person who has overcome the evil and darkness of this world by having the supernatural presence of God at work in his heart. It is a person who is certain, without harboring any doubt, that he possesses eternal life and will enjoy fellowship with God forever.
God promises the overcomer he can be assured of receiving these four things:
“the same shall be clothed in white raiment…”
“I will not blot out his name out of the book of life…”
“I will confess his name before my Father…”
“and before his angels…”
