Do You Resemble Sinful Adam?
And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth: (Genesis 5:3 KJV)
Adam was the first man to be given the “breath of life” and to exist as a trichotomy (body, soul, and spirit) upon this earth. He was created and formed perfectly by the hand of God, to exist as an extension or image of God (Father, Son, and Spirit). There was no such thing as death in the beginning, only living forever.
Adam was given one commandment, a wife, and responsibilities to fulfill as he lived on this paradise called earth. It is no secret Adam, along with Eve his wife, failed miserably to fulfill his responsibilities and adhere to the one commandment given of God.
This failure of Adam to obey God ushered in sin and death into this world.
Sin changed everything, including both physical life and man’s spiritual nature.
Man is no longer physically born in the image of God, but in the image of sinful Adam. Man is born spiritually dead in his heart and must be quickened alive spiritually by inviting the supernatural presence of God to dwell in his heart.
The natural born man now resembles sinful Adam. However, man can be regenerated, or quickened alive spiritually to mirror the perfection and righteousness of God inviting God’s alive Spirit to live inside his heart.
