Don’t Be Found Without A Garment
Matthew 22:11-13 (KJV) And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Today we are looking at another scripture that talks about a wedding guest who comes to the wedding without wearing the necessary covering. You see, God has a dress code in Heaven. His dress requirements coincide with His perfection and a softened spiritual state of the heart. This man pointed out in this verse above is not donning the proper attire, nor is his state of heart right with God.
God’s covering is unlike any accepted fashion of this earth. It is crisp, white, and perfect; not any spots or stains mar this robe. The only way to receive God’s garment is to be found in the right spiritual relationship with Him. In other words, each person must prepare for this coming ceremony.
The end of this scripture tells us that this invited soul was cast into Hell because he is not ready for the wedding ceremony. Please, please, be prepared and appropriately covered, for God’s sacred wedding ceremony will begin soon.
You see, this man received an invitation to the wedding, just as every soul gets an invite. However, this soul did not prepare himself for God’s wedding ceremony. He is out of fellowship with God, not appropriately covered, and because of his failure to properly prepare, is cast out into outer darkness forever.
