Evil Communications Corrupt
1 Corinthians 15:33 (KJB) Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
Nothing can ruin good character faster than the presence of evil. This very concept is a favorite scheme of satan for he loves to corrupt a person through the presence of evil cloaked as something true, good, and pleasant.
Yes, that’s right, one of satan’s main tenacities is in corrupting good behavior for he is determined to ruin the walk of a child of God and to contaminate his testimony using whatever method will work.
What does this mean for us as we walk in this world? Nothing can ruin a Christian testimony and walk quicker than for them to begin rubbing elbows with a purveyor of such falsely held beliefs. Not only will a person rub elbows, soon he will cozy up closer to the purveyor of such half-truths and flat out lies. Before long, a deceived person will embrace the lies of satan as truth.
This kind of deceit was a problem the Apostle Paul was concerned about when speaking among members of this Corinthian Church. Some among them did not believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Paul knew that if these people were left to spread their false beliefs that before long, members of this congregation would soon begin to embrace this false doctrine themselves.
Paul knew that without believing in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, such a false message concerning Christ contained no presence, power, or eternal hope for hearts in this world. Paul pleaded with members of the Corinthian Church to practice discernment concerning such lies for preventing such deception from taking root in minds and hearts.
