Faithless Failures Do Not Have to Be Finales but Stepping Points
1 Peter 1:7-8 (KJB) That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.
The Apostle Peter is speaking about the trials every man faces in this world. They are either comprised of faithlessness and eternal fire or faith-filled supernatural moments and certain eternal victory.
The fiery trials a man faces in this world have an eternal purpose. They prove, without a doubt, who a man spiritually chooses to side with when the going gets rough. If a man chooses things of God these trials at work in his life produce spiritual victories as they move and mature a man in the things of Christ. The final victory is sweet, sweet fellowship with God forevermore.
However, if a man chooses to align himself with satan his forever faithless trials produce a spiritual villain who stands as an eternally rogue opponent of God. The final fiery battle will usher in a swift defeat and hell at the hands of an eternal God who will serve certain justice.
A man of God loves to serve God, even in his trials, bringing Him all due honor and glory as he matures in Christ. A man of the god of this world loves to oppose God, complain about his maltreatment and trials, and by his wayward choices highlight the darkness and evil at work in this world.
