Fishing Season Will Come to an End

And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him. (Matthew 4:18-20 KJV)

God’s fishing expedition has certainly been the longest fishing trip ever.  However, someday “spiritual fishing” for souls of men” will come to an end.

God has opened up the seas of this world for mankind to plant seeds of His gospel message to both Jews and Gentiles (none Jews) alike.  However, one day He will close His fishing expedition and the catching any other spiritual souls will not ever be available again.

Simon and Peter were both called personally by God to embark on His fishing excursion.

Guess what!  God has also called you and I to dip our feet, wade in, and eventually swim into the deep blue sea of souls to catch a spiritual harvest of “spiritual fish.”  Have you heard God’s personal call to go fishing and be busy about His plan for your life?

God desires for you and I to be so busy in fact that we leave any other thing of this world behind to follow the schools of “spiritual fish” as God will and directs us.

takeupyourcrossredocmclearAre you “in water up to your ears” and busy about fishing for God while the fishing season is at hand?  Or are you asleep on the shore, or dead in the waters of life?
