2 Corinthians 10:17-18 (KJB) But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
Isn’t it sad today that so many pastors have a following and a fellowship complete with a professional image which results in a following of their own familiar face and name rather than being a ministry pointing to God? Perhaps such men have a popular face, Bibles to sell engraved with their name, literature, and a slew of topical Christian books littered with solutions and designs of this world having nothing to do with God.
Perhaps all these religious memes and things culminate in both financial gain and publicity but remain absent of God. In the end a godless ministry it has nothing to do with Jesus Christ and is all about a man’s point of view concerning truth, life, and death and void of Truth.
Ultimately, this kind of organization is living a lie in failing to point to God, and without Truth is an organization devoid of Jesus Christ. Be sure you know who it is you follow in this world for many professional pundits proclaiming to be sincere pastors and servants of God are only spiritual perpetrators busy boasting about themselves and giving their “take” on life having no eternal spiritual substance or approval of God.
A pastor who brags about God and His Son, rather than his own self and his gifts is a true servant of God choosing to glorify Him in all things. Self-serving preachers’ glory in their own accomplishments and offerings given in the name of God and this kind of message is not approved by God.
