God Induced Regurgitation

Jonah 2:10 (KJB) And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.

There is a lot of spiritual substance found in this short verse.  Those willing to dig in and study will undoubtedly be blessed by an understanding from God when reading it.

First, the Lord spoke, and this fish obeyed.  Yes, God has charge over all living things, including both man and mammals.

Second, God allowed Jonah to be placed upon dry land rather than vomited out of this whale’s belly amid the waves and swells of water, which could have been quite dangerous.  Yes, God could have left Jonah to face physical death in the belly of this great fish, or to be tossed out into a fast-moving ocean of water, but God chose to preserve Jonah’s life.

God holds the destiny of all, including creatures, and the created (humans), and God has a right to bring about life or death according to His will placed upon each life.

In these verses, God was not finished in the life of Jonah.  There were many things for Jonah to accomplish in the name of the Lord.  God used a whale to bring about His intended purpose in the life of Jonah.  How might God get your attention on His will at work in your life?
