God Is Forgotten Days Without Number
Jeremiah 2:32 (KJB) Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.
This scripture verse is speaking to God’s chosen people in ancient biblical times. However, it can be applied in the lives of professing Christians in the current times in which we live.
Often a person has selective memory. A man can easily recall those times in his life which are special to him such as his wedding, the birth of a baby, and so on. But God is pointing out in this verse that it is easy for a man to forget God even when plainly remembering those things that are palatable and pleasant life experiences I this world.
This pointed thought may have struck a raw cord in your heart and mind. Maybe hearing what the Prophet Jeremiah said in ancient times gets too “in your face,” or up close and personal in describing your lackluster spiritual habits. How long has it been since you spent productive time in reading God’s Word? Or perhaps studying scripture verses.
Have you forgotten about God? Have you placed God on the “back burner” of your life?
Don’t make it days without number in between your study and application of God’s Word into your life and in sowing seeds of the Gospel message with others in this world. Remember God today and serve Him each day.
