God Spake in Time Past
Hebrews 1:1-2 (KJB) God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.
Scripture is “God-breathed. The very words found in scripture were divinely spoken of God. Not only that but His words were divinely recorded by scribes for making them available for our study and learning today. In ancient times priests had an assortment of skins and scrolls which contained parts and pieces of God’s Word.
God used prophets of His leading to interpret the times and speak of the future.
God even sent His Only Son, Jesus Christ, to speak to mankind in person in the flesh in this world. Even when God was present in the flesh many did not pay attention to His Words or understand the spiritual ramifications of sin.
It was necessary for His Son to be born, to die upon Calvary, and be raised again the third day.
Today, in this age of grace, there is no new revelation of God for His Word has been revealed in creation, in act and word and is a complete revelation. Each of us can hold a Bible in our hands having the completed Word of God. We live in a time when we are privileged to see Calvary from behind, view the wonders of Creation, and have access to His Word and to apply all this learning and reading in our life.
