Godly Desires and Duty
John 4:34 (KJB) Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
Are you busy about doing the will of God in your life? What keeps you going, what is your passion in life? God did give each of us a purpose in this life. He set your heart and my heart to follow a certain direction. This is not just an outward experience, a stirring, or an emotion.
A passion is a heartfelt drive for a certain spiritual accomplishment(s) that God has set you on fire in this world to accomplish all for His glory and honor. A passion is a stirring in the heart which works its way outward. My passion is directly wired or “hard connected” to my level of trust, spiritual understanding and reliance upon the power of God.
Your passion is the “spiritual meat” which God expects to flow out of your life.
What did God give you a desire for in your life?
God gave me a husband, a family, and a passion for reading His Word. He gave me a passion for serving Him through serving my husband, my family, and my writing. These things are pleasing to God in that order and useful for bringing honor and glory to God.
My life as a whole must align with His Word and the direction of His will for my life.
You should desire to be found faithful in whatever service God gave you to do.
