Romans 5:7-8 (KJB) For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Did you catch the gist of this vital scripture verse? God loved every person despite his or her lost spiritual heart and innate sin nature over two thousand years ago. God loved all mankind even when they did not merit his love or reciprocate His love.
By the way, if your next thought is that you were not alive and kicking on this earth in the past time this verse speaks about then you do not have a working comprehension of the timeless nature and power of God. God is The God of the past, present and for the eternal future. God knew you and loved you from the beginning, centuries before you were born into the human race even when you were spiritually unlovely having a natural sin-filled heart.
Yes, God loved you and me from the beginning. He sent His Son to die for us even though we were sinners at heart. Though we could not respond in kind to God at that moment at Calvary He loved us with an unending love not affected by time and chance.
God’s gift made it possible for any person to find eternal relief from sin by offering His Only Son’s shed blood upon the cross at Calvary. This timeless spiritual gift gives clemency for confessed sin making it possible for any person to choose to love God, receive His grace, and fellowship with Him forever.
