God’s Mercy And Grace Trumps Any Alleged Rights

Romans 9:13-16 (KJB) As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. 14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

“But it is my right…” or “I reasoned it to be this way…” “My opinion is …”

Wrong, wrong, wrong, it is all about God, not about any firmly held rights, or what a man perceives as truth, or what matches the desires of man.

God holds in His hand the destiny of all people according to His grace, will, and purpose, and nothing else matters.  Many well-intentioned people do not have an understanding of having no rights of their own this side of Heaven.  God always has a reason for what and how He chooses to accomplish His will and way on this earth, and quite frankly it can be tough for any person to reason or understand the intricate workings of God from a limited vision on this earth.  Try as a man might, he will never comprehend the supernatural workings of God in any matter.

Guess what,  as is recorded in Galatians 2:20, God’s will has nothing to do with clinging to any perceived rights, for revived hearts no longer have powers of their own. After salvation, a resurrected life is all about pleasing God and nothing to do with pleasing self.

Sadly, many lost and wayward hearts in this world seek their own and clamor for perceived rights, but the truth is that they are busy about living far removed from ways pleasing and honoring to God.

This verse spells it out “As it is written…” Whether any lost heart can understand it, living for God and doing His will and living His way is the pinnacle of saved souls walking with God as they sojourn in this wicked world.
