Good Leaders Plan and Motivate
Nehemiah 2:17-18 (KJV) Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach. Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.
Bad leaders manipulate and exploit the people they serve. On the other hand, good leaders plan to lead the people who helped to elect them and motivate them to get behind their proposals and policy. This difference is all in the name of bettering humanity and society. Still, some authority figures like to undermine and demean society disrupting and destroying the lives of the very people they pretend to care about and serve, all for selfish ambitions and not for society’s betterment.
There is a vast difference between talking and listening. Or in watching and doing. Some folks prefer to sit back and keep a distance from any involvement in politics or policymaking. However, the best route is to pay attention to what is going on around them in Washington and their local political arena, even if it is distant interest. At least, a person can be familiar with plans and practices of both good and evil authority at work, especially beneficial for strengthing the best of the best leaders serving others needs selflessly.
Just as in the times of Nehemiah, the leaders attempt to reestablish the ambiance and atmosphere after suffering destruction. People came together to rebuild the temple from the rubble and improve war-torn damage for pleasing God. In other words, the people worked together under challenging circumstances to honor God and strengthen society. Today, leaders try to undermine and divide society and remove God from its foundation, though it is impossible to rid this earth of God altogether.
